Summary: FSMHP is proud to present INSTITUTE FOR NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES INTERVENTIONAL RESEARCH ACTIVITIES, alias I.N.D.I.R.A. Project. This is the new project of FSMHP-UDAAN, dedicated to investigate the utility of various medical advances that may help to improve the quality of life of the special need children with CP or Autism or Multiple Handicap.

Institute for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Interventional Research Activities (I.N.D.I.R.A.)

INDIRA provides an out-patient type service of above therapies supplemented by some experimental early medical intervention therapies (Hyperbaric Oxygenation, mHBOT, nutritional supplements in autism, gfcf diet, sensory integration, pre-vocational, remedial class, OT/PT, Speech and Social Communication Therapy, Special Education (Autism specific and CP specific). It is partially supported by donors / sponsors and subsidized user charges. INDIRA NOW runs from C/27-28 Dayanand Colony, Lajpatnagar - 4, New Delhi 110024, INDIA, Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 5.00 PM.

Projects handled or to be handled at INDIRA Projects:

  1. UDAAN Multimode Early Medical Intervention Therapy for young children with Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Handicap, using 6 to 8 months of intensive one-to-one Standard Therapy, 40 sessions of Hyperbaric Therapy during first 40 days, and corrective surgery only if mandatory.
  2. UDAAN Multimode Early Medical Intervention Therapy for young children with Autism, using 2 to 3 years of standard Therapy, which comprises initial 3 to 6 months of management of gut dysbiosis and food allergy management plus GFCF diet, micronutrient support, special education, sensory integration therapy, speech and social communication therapy, OT, Arts and Crafts therapy, Pre-Vocational Training, Remedial Class and pre-School Training, etc. This is followed by MB12 therapy for 6 months. It is proposed to add heavy metal chelation also soon after. Selected children with SPECT evidence of anoxic hypoperfusion damage in brain are given mHBAT also.
